Times tables MTC June 2025
We will be taking the national Multiplication Test Check in June 2025. This is an online test which children complete in school. Our children will have lots of practice beforehand and there's no time like the present to start practicing those times tables skills.
Spellings
We will also send home spellings on a Monday for a spelling test on the following Monday. If your child doesn't do as well as we know they can with their spellings, they will be retested on the following Wednesday. Please practice their spellings with them as this helps them greatly in their other lessons.
PE
During Autumn term we have PE on a Monday and a Thursday. Please ensure that your child has full school PE kit on those days.

Aspirations - We can be whatever we want to be.
Protected Characteristics
As part of our Protected Characteristics learning in PSHE, we have shared the story, My beautiful Voice, which is a moving, lyrical picture book about a shy child unlocking the power of their own voice through poetry, with the helping hand of an extra special teacher. John 1:12 tells us 'I am a child of God' - all our voices can be powerful and beautiful, however small.
We shared ‘What we'll build’ in our Protected Characteristics lesson. James 1:12 says, ‘Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial’ - we explored what it means to be resilient & to have a positive attitude, especially in relation to our dreams and goals.
Breathe buddies - Asthma
Years 3,4 and 5 enjoyed an asthma friendly assembly with St Helens Wellbeing & the Breathe Buddies, focusing on breathing better together.

History
We have enjoyed using our knowledge box to research the Ancient Greeks.
Geography
